Welcome ...

Hello, thank you for visiting and welcome to our fifth season! Our aim once again to bring you high quality entertainment from visiting and local musicians, singers & performers!

Last year we embraced an eclectic mix with 8 concerts! We welcomed Kate Walker and the scintillating Music Deco, Opera stars Suzanne Manuell & Alison Kettlewell and international violinist Rebekkah Hartmann with pianist Margarita Oganesjan. Local favourites Liskeard Chamber Players and St Martin's Church choir brought us two superb classical evenings with LCS founder Jonathan Delbridge returning with a captivating evening of Mozart.
We launched our new initiative to support young up and coming local performers and their pursuits in the arts and were treated to an exceptional concert with much variety (including some innovative Shakespeare) by the very talented Olivia Early and her friends. Sublime local choir Canoryon Lowen then gave us our grand finale with a superb seasonal repertoire in St Martin's church.
This year, we are delighted to bring you three exciting concerts in our spring season. Firstly, continuing our support of young talent on Friday 31st March a 'Young Performers Concert'. Caradon Youth choir are joined by individual musicians and singers, the Nicky Brice Ballet School, Sterts Theatre’s Bugsy Malone cast and CY Junk Funk Percussion Band! This promises to be a superb, high energy evening not to be missed with something for everyone!
The following week, the Liskeard Chamber Players offer a fantastic programme including works by Popper, Beethoven, Haydn & Vivaldi (see concerts page).

On Saturday 20th May - Sally Nash, Rosie Maciver-Redwood & Guests
We are very pleased to be presenting these two talented young ladies!
Sally and Rosie have been successful in getting on to 'Youth Music Theatre' courses this summer (in Belfast and Winchester) which is a great achievement in itself, but not cheap! They are working hard to raise the funds they need and this concert will hopefully help them on their way.
It promises to be an eclectic evening of great entertainment. Please support our best young talent doing what they love!

Then on Sat 27th May Jonathan Delbridge is back, this time accompanying Woodwind Wizard David White (as heard on many films including Harry Potter and Les Miserables and on TV!) with his ‘Clarinet Spectacular’. Artistic director of the Cornish Sinfonia, David has toured with Jonathan playing the Mozart Clarinet Quintet and specially arranged pieces on different clarinets. Favourites are The Baby Elephant Walk by Henry Mancini and The Elephant from Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals, played on the contra bass clarinet.
